Highlights

  • Wagyu Gold Project is located in the well-endowed gold region of the Central Pilbara adjoining tenure operated by De Grey Mining (ASX:DEG), along strike and midway between De Grey Mining’s Hemi Gold Deposit and Withnell Gold Deposit
  • Several Hemi Style intrusive gold targets and structural gold targets were defined following a comprehensive review of existing geophysical data
  • NAE commenced on-ground exploration in April 2024, including Gravity Survey, Passive Seismic Survey and soil sampling to refine priority drill targets

Overview

The Wagyu Gold Project represents a highly prospective Gold opportunity along strike ~9km from and midway between De Grey Mining’s (ASX:DEG) Hemi Gold Deposit containing ~10.5Moz1 and the Withnell Gold Deposit containing ~600koz1 (refer Figures 1 and 2).

NAE previously conducted a detailed review of the Central Pilbara’s regional geophysics to assess for ‘Hemi Style’ targets and identified the Wagyu Gold Project area as a location of significant interest.

In April 2024, several Hemi Style intrusive and structural gold targets were defined (Figure 3) following a comprehensive review of existing geophysical data. NAE subsequently commenced on-ground exploration including a detailed Gravity Survey, Passive Seismic Survey and soil sampling to refine priority drill targets.

Ground geophysics surveys will assist in further defining gold targets across the project, complementing airborne data that NAE has acquired and reviewed. Gravity surveys will be used to determine the extents of intrusive targets and hopefully generate additional targets. Passive Seismic surveys will aid in understanding the depth of cover and may also show other subterranean futures of interest in gold exploration. Soil sampling will see the use of the Ultra Fines geochemical assay technique, which NAE has used successfully in the past to generate gold targets.
