Alan Broome, AM

Chairman

Mr Broome, AM (I.Eng, F.AusIMM, FAICD, FICME, MInstD (NZ)) is a metallurgist with over 40 years’ experience in mining and metals. A well-know figure in the Australian mining industry, Mr Broome has extensive board experience, both as a director and chairman of a number of listed and unlisted mining and mining technology companies.

Mr Broome commenced his career as a metallurgist in the Port Kembla Steelworks before joining the Australian Coal Industry Research Laboratories, which he ran for over a decade. Over the past 20 years, he has had in-depth experience in coal mining, mining technology, equipment, services and research sectors, both in Australia and abroad.

Joshua Wellisch

Executive Director

Mr Wellisch is a corporate professional whose career has included several Executive Management and Director roles in ASX-listed companies. Mr Wellisch has a breadth of experience in the acquisition, management and development of mineral geological projects within the energy and minerals sector. He has a substantial background in project management and is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Mr Wellisch is also currently a director of NRG Capital, specialising in capital raisings, corporate structuring and the facilitation of ASX listings and was formerly Managing Director of Kairos Minerals Limited (ASX:KAI).

Adrien Wing

Director

Mr Wing is CPA qualified and works with a number of public companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange as a corporate/accounting consultant and company secretary.

Peter Thompson

Chief Geologist

Mr Thompson brings  over 35 years of extensive experience in gold and base metal exploration and mining. His distinguished career includes significant contributions to major mining projects in Australia and internationally. He spent seven years with Western Mining Corporation and played a foundational role in Anaconda Nickel, where he was involved from its inception and contributed to the development of the Murrin Murrin nickel deposit. He led the redevelopment of St Barbara, overseeing the acquisition of the Sons of Gwalia gold assets, and played a key role in the post-2006 redevelopment of the Beaconsfield Gold Mine. Additionally, Mr Thompson spearheaded the acquisition, listing, and development of the Karlawinda gold deposit and was instrumental in the discovery and advancement of large Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) deposits in Mongolia.

As a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), Mr Thompson serves as a Competent Person for NAE, ensuring rigorous technical reporting and exploration strategies.

James Pope

Consultant Geologist, NZ

Dr Pope is a highly experienced minerals sector professional with nearly 30 years in exploration, consulting, and research across a broad range of commodities including gold, PGE, diamonds, base metals, coal, and coal seam gas. He currently leads Strata Geoscience Ltd, a specialised geoscience consultancy based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Prior to this, he served as CEO and Director of CRL Energy (now Verum Group), a nationwide provider of laboratory, consultancy, and research services to the minerals industry. Dr Pope’s fieldwork and project management have taken him across New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Indonesia, Vietnam, Turkey, and China.

Throughout his career, Dr Pope has progressed from hands-on geological mapping and drill site supervision to leading multidisciplinary teams of up to 50 professionals delivering exploration, resource assessment, engineering, and environmental services. His geological teams have supported projects from early-stage target development through to JORC-compliant resource certification. Holding a PhD in geochemistry, Dr Pope has been involved in minerals sector environmental science since the early 2000s. He maintains his research career and has authored over 40 peer-reviewed papers. He also maintains active academic ties as an adjunct or guest lecturer at the Universities of Canterbury and Otago in New Zealand, the University of Windsor in Canada, and the China University of Mining and Technology in Beijing.

Kerry Gordon

Consultant Geologist, NZ

Mr Gordon is a seasoned minerals sector professional with nearly 25 years of experience spanning exploration, resource development, and operations. He is currently a Principal at Strata Geoscience Ltd, a specialist minerals sector consultancy based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Mr Gordon’s previous roles include Geology Group Manager at CRL Energy (now Verum Group), Exploration Manager at L&M Coal Seam Gas, Logistics Manager at Washingtons Exploration, and Senior Geologist at Solid Energy New Zealand. His diverse career has included work across New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, and Mongolia on projects involving gold, critical metals (antimony, tungsten), coal, coal seam gas, and conventional petroleum.

Mr Gordon’s expertise lies in managing exploration programs in remote and technically demanding environments, with a strong focus on field-based geological techniques, complex drilling and downhole logging operations, and logistical coordination. He has successfully delivered projects ranging from greenfield mineral exploration through to resource definition and mining support, including geological modelling using a variety of software platforms. Holding an MSc in Geology, Mr Gordon has led exploration for listed companies and is known for combining practical field skills with innovative interpretation to drive data-informed project outcomes.
